Greenberg's Next Bout, Nothing Set Yet

Initially, The Jewish Chronicle reported that heavyweight Roman Greenberg would fight in Ukraine in February. However, Greenberg's promoter Robert Waterman says that he'll be meeting with the boxer in the next few weeks to discuss his next fight.

Greenberg (27-1, 18 KOs), who was born in Moldova, hasn't fought since his contest against Cedric Boswell (31-1, 24 KOs) in August of 2008. It was the first loss in the career of the now 27-year-old Greenberg.

  1. I really wish I knew if and when Roman is going to fight again... I've been searching the web for months and months (probably well over a yr.) to no avail.....

  2. Danny Caro of The Jewish Chronicle reported that he will fight this fall, but Caro's reported as fact that Greenberg will comeback several times over the last year and, well, it obviously hasn't happened.

Greenberg has had trouble with a hand injury, so perhaps that is setting him back. He's still young, but at this point, it's safe to say his career is up in the air.

For what it's worth, BoxRec.com no longer has him listed as an active boxer. But that means about as much as a Danny Caro article on Roman Greenberg's future.
